Chairman's Welcome

Hello everyone.  My name is Derek Bohlke and I am the chairman of the University of Iowa College Republicans.  I would like to welcome you to our website.  We want to make it easy for you to get involved with our group, so we want to make our website as convenient as possible.  Please feel free to participate in our wide variety of events that you will see under our calender link.  You do not have to attend meetings in order to participate in our activities.  I do highly recommend that you do come to our meetings for it allows you to make important decisions for our group and get the fullest amount of information possible.  Not to mention you get to make many great friends that also share your political beliefs.  Our mission at UICR is to make the Republican voice heard on this extremely liberal campus.  Do not be discouraged by our last election, but instead be motivated to get your voice heard at this University with us.  Join us in changing the direction of this country, because change starts with you.  Thank you very much and I hope to see you with the UICR.

UICR Elects New Leaders PDF Print E-mail

In March 2009 the University of Iowa College Republicans have elected new leaders to take the group through the 2009-2010 school year.  These individuals will help lead the Republican Party back to a majority and make them more known oon the University of Iowa campus.  So far they have helped lead a tea party on the Burlington Street Bridge that brought 400 residents of Iowa CIty together on tax day.  The new UICR leaders are

Alex Solsma: Vice chair

Hillary Block: Secretary

Kevin Velovitch: Treasurer

Ingrid Bisenius: Events Coordinator

Have a fun summer and look for the UI College Republicans on campus in the Fall.
